A garden town. For the pleasure of visitors and residents’ quality of living, Issoudun is a “floral town” with a 4-flower rating and has 55 hectares of parks, gardens and green spaces which help the city breathe. Committed to the environment, the town has launched Local Agenda 21.
A Town of Culture. Musée de l’Hospice Saint-Roch (museum), Centre Culturel (culture centre) and the Médiathèque Albert-Camus (media library), Fêtes de la Tour Blanche (festivals at the White Tower), Mardis de l’été (Tuesdays in the Summer), and so on.
A Town of Image. bip-tv has its headquarters at Issoudun, providing television for the department and training courses offered by the AFPA for computer graphics designers and video camera operators.
A Town of Music. From the Festival de la Guitare (guitar festival) to Issoudun’s training courses relating to the world of music, Issoudun has ‘an ear for music’.
A Town of Sports. Boasting many sports’ facilities, the Ensemble de Loisirs Sportifs, (sports leisure centre) skating rink, Espace Loisirs Forme (Fitness and Leisure Area), and stadia, Issoudun offers all its residents the opportunity of taking part in a wide range of activities.
